The Nelson Oak hidden home office is intended to allow you to keep all of your home office paraphernalia hidden away out of sight in a classic, modern piece of furniture. The desk is designed to be good to look at when it is not in use and comfortable when in operation.
The desktop of this version can be any length from 120 to 200cm from side to side and the width can be varied from 50cm to 90cm from front to back and it is set 72cm above the floor which is considered the normal height for an office desk, the central seating area is full height with no fiddly keyboard drawer or flip down to get in the way of your knees so this desk works well for users up to 6'2” tall. Other standard sizes of this desk are available and we offer a custom version which can be built to any size (see the alternative product options listed below).
The right hand pedestal has a top compartment which can house a PC system up to a 5U rack mount case or accommodate desktop PC or a even a full size 17 inch laptop with ease, that compartment has a flip down front for easy access to DVD drives, USB ports etc, the back of this compartment has vents to allow air to circulate around your PC and easy access to the cable management void at the back of the desk. Under the PC compartment is a large cupboard with an adjustable and removable shelf that can be used to house a full size printer, a stock of paper or other office equipment. The left hand pedestal has three drawers.
Each pedestal is 49cm wide across the outside so the flip front compartment and the cupboard underneath are 45cm wide on the inside. The Cupboard is 40cm tall and the flip down compartment is 18cm tall. The 'knee hole' in the middle of the desk is 55cm wide.
Like all of the other items in our Nelson Oak range these desks are made by craftsmen in our UK factory from solid oak, engineered board and high quality panels with real Oak. The cupboard door utilizes the latest soft close hinge technology as do the high tech drawer runners and thanks to the installation of high quality metal ladder racks inside the cupboards you can decide the height of the shelves to easily accommodate your equipment. The drawer handles and cupboard door handles on this desk are of the highest quality, they add a very classy touch.
This Oak desk is finished with a choice of Clear lacquer for a Light Oak finish, or different stains to give a range of other finishes.
