The Nelson Oak hidden home office is intended to allow you to keep all of your home office paraphernalia hidden away out of sight in a classic, modern piece of furniture. The desk is designed to be good to look at when it is not in use and comfortable when in operation.
The Custom version of this desk is made to your specific requirements, the desktop can be any size from 130cm to 200cm from side to side and between 60cm and 90cm from front to back we recommend that the desk surface is set 72cm above the floor which is considered the normal height for an office desk but we can build your desk surface at any height from 60cm to 110cm so it can be used as a 'sit down desk' or as a 'stand up desk'. The central seating area is full height with no fiddly keyboard drawer or flip down to get in the way of your knees. The right hand pedestal has a top compartment which we normally recommend is used to house a normal desktop PC system unit or accommodate a laptop, the size of this compartment is variable based on your overall size requirements, please let us know by e-mail to sales@zutux.com if you have a specific requirement for the PC compartment. The PC compartment has a flip down front for easy access to DVD drives, USB ports etc, the back of this compartment has vents to allow air to circulate around your PC. Under the PC compartment is a cupboard, if your chosen height allows we will fit an adjustable and removable shelf in the cupbord. The lower space is intended to be used to house a small printer, a stock of paper or other office equipment. The left hand pedestal has a drawer at the top and a matching cupboard with shelf (if possible) underneath.
The whole back of the desk is hollow so cables cable be unobtrusively run between the three compartments without creating a dusty 'rats nest' of cables behind the desk and the desktop and cupboard backs are all removable to allow supremely easy set up of your system.
Like all of the other items in our Nelson Oak range these desks are made by craftsmen in our UK factory from solid oak, engineered board and high quality panels with real Oak. The cupboard doors utilize the latest soft close hinge technology as do the high tech drawer runners and thanks to the installation of high quality metal ladder racks inside the cupboards you can decide the height of the shelves to easily accommodate your equipment. The drawer handles and cupboard door handles on this desk are of the highest quality, they add a very classy touch.
This Oak desk is normally shipped with a clear lacquer finish that brings out the grain of the Oak, but it is also available stained in almost any shade or painted if you add our 'Paint to Order' service to your order from the accessory product listings below.
